Page2Excel
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Page2Excel is a Chrome extension that extracts structured data from the webpage you are viewing and exports it locally as CSV, JSON, or Excel files.
What data is processed
When you use Page2Excel, the extension reads visible structured content on the active webpage (for example HTML tables and repeated listing cards) in order to build a dataset you can preview and export.
Where processing happens
Extraction, cleaning, preview, and export run locally in your browser. Webpage content is not uploaded to Page2Excel servers. The current version has no account system, backend, analytics, or remote logging.
What is stored
- Session storage: short-lived dataset handoff between the popup and the spreadsheet preview page. This is not a permanent archive of page content.
- Sync/local settings: preferences such as onboarding dismissal and plan preview toggles.
Permissions
- activeTab — work with the tab you choose to analyze.
- scripting — run the content script needed to read page structure.
- storage — save settings and temporary session handoff data.
Page2Excel does not request access to browsing history, cookies, or bookmarks.
Exports
Exported files are created as local downloads on your device. Page2Excel does not transmit those files.
Children
Page2Excel is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Significant future changes (for example accounts or analytics) will be disclosed in the Chrome Web Store listing and in this document.
